In 2017 Travel South organizes the International Showcase again. This year the event takes place in Charleston, South Carolina. The yearly event gives 150 international tour operators the chance to meet with the representatives of the 12 Southern states and more than 150 suppliers from the deep South of the USA. The official program lasts three days. The first day is reserved to a fam tour through the area, giving you the opportunity to experience what the area has to offer. The second and third day are both filled with meetings with states, travel agencies, hotels, and attractions. Besides the many meetings, the program also includes music, entertainment and other networking events.

Each year a group of states organize a so-called ‘Superfam’, a four-day journey for tour operators in which they visit the highlights of the region. There are as much as 7 different Superfams to choose from. Travel South is a collaboration of the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carlonia, South Carlonia, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia. Target Travel Marketing organizes the participation and registration of the Benelux Market.
