For the first time in 23 years, the yearly International Round up was held in North Dakota’s capital Bismarck. Tour operators from 7 countries were taken on a tour through the city and its surroundings. Life at a real ranch, the expeditions of Lewis and Clark, meeting the native residents of the area, the Mandan, and discovering the footprints of General Custer; the area within a one day drive from Bismarck is filled with historic places and monuments. In Bismarck there was time to lunch in one of the great local restaurants and to get a drink in one of the many cozy bars. The group also paid a visit to the intriguing heritage center, exploring North Dakota’s history from rock to present.
